PiStE

The Master of Education at RUB is becoming more international: With the new internationalization project "Professional School of International Education" (PiStE) the Professional School of Education (PSE) can award mobility scholarships to students in the Master of Education from April 2021 onwards.

These scholarships include mobility and accommodation costs of the stipends and span a three-month period abroad. Students enrolled at the RUB in the Master of Education can apply for a scholarship – no subject-related limitations exist. Five scholarships per semester can be awarded to Master of Education students. PiStE is creditable in both educational sciences and subjects in consultation with project supervisors.

PSE initially works on the project with the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) in Quito and the University of Oulu, Finland; further collaborations are planned. Abroad, students participate in seminars and visit local schools. Particular emphasis is placed on dealing with heterogeneity and multilingualism in the classroom PiStE is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and supported by the DAAD. The project ends in 2024.
